[England can relax a tad now that that's gone over well enough. But he was already completely casual about this, so it's impossible that he might slump a little with relief. It's just a trick of the tablet.] At least you've still got the knowledge to take care of it. I doubt it will scar.

Man, it better not. [His beautiful face! He's not used to the idea of scars that don't come with extremely traumatic circumstances.]

It probably won't. [But then, England gets that look that he often does when he's about to make a joke at America's expense, a slight curve of his mouth and quirk of his brow.

Except...it's not actually mean this time!] If it does, though, don't you think it would look heroic? Like a character in one of your ridiculous action movies.

[America hadn't thought of it like that.] D'you think so? I guess sometimes they have cool scars...

Of course. There's always that romantic scene where the hero's love interest touches his scars, you know.

[England says this in the most matter-of-fact way, of course. Like, obviously America should already be very familiar with scar-related Hollywood clichés!]

[England is right that America knows about this sort of scene. He blushes, a little, at the idea of it.] Maybe if it scars it'll look cool, then.

[Perhaps thankfully, England is oblivious to what he has just implied.]

Well, I suppose it depends on what you'd consider "cool," but I'd say the chances are fair.

Okay, then I hope it doesn't scar or it leaves a really cool scar. [More options! Those are good.]

Either way, you'll be fine, so there's no need to worry about it.

[Where is England's good friend medal for today, he has earned it.]

Just take good care of it until it heals.

I'll be checking to make sure you have, so don't disappoint me. [Fussing? Who's fussing? England is only saying what he thinks will annoy America into complying just to prove to England he is competent.] I'll be able to tell when I see it in person!

[No he probably won't. But shut up.]

I know, I know. [He expects England to fuss at this point.] I can handle it!

[For the first time, it seems to occur to England to ask, because suddenly his expression becomes less pompous and more worried again.] You don't have any other injuries, right?

Nah, not really. [He holds out his hands like a child showing off newly washed skin before supper.]

[A small sigh, which is definitely not in relief or anything, even though his face relaxes.] Good. You're already going to have a hell of a time travelling even without other wounds to worry about, I imagine.

[If the weather right now is anything to go by...]

Yeah, I might have to stick around near the post office and wait. [Which sucks!]

[The idea of America waiting at the post office for him is a little sad, somehow.]

You might as well look around a little more if you'll be stuck down there. Might find something interesting.

I guess I could try to finish going around the outside. [But the grocery store would be so far away then!]

[England looks a little excited at that idea...] If you do, be sure to draw a map! Then we can consolidate our efforts when you're done.

I wouldn't go that far. [Even though he was just talking about scarred heroes. He can't enable America's ego unless America is sad for some reason.]
